Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@keltoncompanyllc.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that breaks down skills into manageable steps and uses positive reinforcement to help your child learn and succeed across environments.

A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) begins with an assessment to understand your child’s strengths, then designs a tailored plan. During sessions, trained therapists use techniques like positive reinforcement, prompting, and step-by-step instruction. Progress is tracked and goals are adjusted over time.

Kelton Company accepts most major insurance providers including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare.

The duration varies based on your child's needs. Some families benefit from a few months of focused intervention; others find value in longer-term support. Frequency can range from a few hours weekly to intensive daily sessions. Your BCBA will guide the duration and intensity.

Yes. Research shows that early, consistent ABA can significantly improve communication, behavior, social skills, and independence. It’s considered one of the most effective therapies for autism-related support.

While ABA is commonly used for autism, it’s beneficial across the lifespan and for various developmental challenges. ABA is adaptable and effective for individuals at different stages—infancy to adulthood.

Many insurance plans now cover ABA therapy under autism services. However, coverage varies based on the insurer and the plan. We can assist in verifying your benefits and navigating the process.

ABA is overseen by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and delivered by trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), under BCBA supervision. This team ensures personalized and compliant therapy.

Absolutely. ABA can be delivered in natural settings like your home, school, or local community environments—which often enhances generalization and real-life skill application.

First, obtain a formal diagnosis (must be up to date for insurance coverage, typically the evaluation needs to be no older than 12 months). Next, contact us to schedule an assessment with a BCBA. From there, we’ll develop a customized plan with you and help with insurance and scheduling setup.
